Prepare your hand or checked baggage for your Air France flight
Important: soft plastic bags and bags wrapped in rudimentary materials (e.g., household stretch film) are not accepted in the hold. This type of packaging damages airport facilities and disrupts the flow of baggage.
In the event of a full flight, your hand baggage may be checked and placed in the hold free of charge. Be sure to keep all personal belongings and valuables with you, including travel documents, medical paperwork, and electronic devices.
This measure applies to flights operated by Air France or KLM. For flights operated by our partner airlines, specific rules may apply. We invite you to visit their website for more information.
Protect your bags
Certain baggage in the hold, such as strollers or backpacks, can get stuck in automated airport infrastructures if they are not correctly packaged. This may result in damage or delays. We recommend that you protect your bags with reusable covers, usually provided with their purchase, instead of disposable packaging.
And don’t forget: at the airport, if you see something, say something.
- Don’t leave your baggage unattended
- Don’t give your baggage to someone else
- Don’t accept someone else’s baggage
You may incur fines and be barred from flying. The Air France remains at your disposal should you have any questions.
