Your baggage on connecting flights

Which rules apply to your baggage when you have a connection? Let us guide you!

If you have one or more connecting flights with different airlines, your baggage allowance may vary. We invite you to consult the websites of the airlines concerned and recommend that you follow the strictest policy throughout your journey.

You're traveling with a pet in the hold?

You must respect the conditions for transporting a cat or dog in the cabin of each airline with which you travel. Make sure you get the right information before your departure.

Important: If you are traveling in Premium, Business, or La Première cabins on a connecting flight or departing from the United States, your cabin baggage allowance is subject to US regulations governed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

Our answers to your questions

You can purchase these items in the duty-free shops at the airport after the security checkpoint. You can carry one bag per person in the cabin and during your connection. It must be in packaging sealed by the store.

Please note that you are no longer within the transit circuit if you go to a public area in the connecting airport. Even if transported in a sealed bag, these items will not be accepted by authorities at security checkpoints to regain access to boarding gates.

If you need to change airport during your connection, we recommend that you either check in your sealed purchases or add them to the contents of your checked baggage.
